Dato’ Amirul Feisal Wan Zahir
Managing Director
Feisal is the Managing Director of Khazanah Nasional Berhad (“Khazanah”), Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund. The fund is mandated to invest to deliver sustainable value for Malaysians by achieving long-term risk- adjusted returns as well as undertaking investments that catalyse new growth areas, strengthen Malaysia’s economic competitiveness, and contribute to priority socioeconomic outcomes. Khazanah has investments in various sectors such as aviation, energy, financial, healthcare, infrastructure, leisure & tourism, real assets, technology, and telecommunications among others.
Feisal has held various senior leadership positions in investment banking, banking and insurance, manufacturing, and investment management in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. Before joining Khazanah in July 2021, he was at Maybank, Malaysia’s largest financial services group and a leading banking group in Southeast Asia, serving as the Group Chief Financial Officer from July 2016 to July
2021, and the Group Head of Global Banking from October 2014 to June 2016. Prior to that, he served at Permodalan Nasional Berhad, one of Malaysia’s largest fund management companies, as Executive Vice President of Special Projects and was also seconded to Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad, a public listed company, as Group Managing Director. From 2008 to 2010, he was Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking for Maybank Investment Bank where he was responsible for the Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, Equity Capital Markets and Private Equity Divisions. He had also served as Executive Director at BinaFikir, a boutique investment banking firm, from 2004 to 2008 and was at Citigroup Global Markets from 1997 to 2004.
Feisal is currently the Chairman of M+S Pte Ltd, Iskandar Investment Berhad, Yayasan Khazanah, and Amanah Warisan Negara (“AWAN”). He also sits on the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Hasanah, and Khazanah Research Institute. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales, a Fellow Chartered Banker, Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers, and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics majoring in Accounting and Finance from London School of Economics & Political Science, United Kingdom and completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard Business School.
Datuk Hisham Hamdan

Datuk Hisham Hamdan joined Khazanah in April 2011 from Sime Darby Berhad. Since 2018, he has served as Head of Public Markets in Khazanah, which has a mandate to invest in more than 10 countries worldwide. Prior to Public Markets, he was responsible for the Auto, Agrifood and Iskandar Malaysia in Khazanah’s portfolio and served as Executive Director of Research. Datuk Hisham also serves as the Chairman of UEM Sunrise and the Board of Trustees of the Khazanah Research Institute.
He has over 30 years of working experience in senior leadership and board positions. His expertise spans a variety of corporate structures, encompassing businesses in various sectors and multiple countries. During his career, he spent 12 years in the capital markets, focusing on equity research and investment banking, working with various international investment banks.
During his tenure at Sime Darby, he served in various capacities since 2004, covering strategy and business development, healthcare, energy and utilities, and China. Previously, he held the position of Chairman of UDA Holdings Berhad, a member of the Board of Directors of Iskandar Investments Berhad, and a member of the Board of ValueCap.
He holds two degrees in Chemical Engineering and Industrial management from Purdue University, United States. He has also attended the Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Programme.
Faridah Bakar Ali

Faridah Bakar Ali joined Khazanah in May 2006 after building a career in accountancy and finance with PricewaterhouseCoopers Malaysia and BP Malaysia.
In Khazanah, Faridah delivered several notable Islamic Finance transactions including the world’s first exchangeable sukuk and the inaugural retail offering of Sukuk Ihsan, Khazanah’s sustainable and responsible investment sukuk.
Faridah graduated from Lancaster University in Accounting & Finance. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
Dato' Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin

Dato’ Mohamed Nasri Sallehuddin joined Khazanah in September 2009. Prior to that, he was a partner with a leading law firm in Malaysia, advising clients on corporate law and the legal aspects of corporate restructuring, takeovers and mergers. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degree from University of Wales, Aberystwyth, United Kingdom in 1993. He sat for his bar examination in 1994 and was admitted to Gray’s Inn as a barrister-at-law in 1995. Having completed his pupillage, he was admitted to the High Court of Malaya as an advocate and solicitor in 1996. He also holds an MBA from University of Strathclyde, United Kingdom.
Wong Wai Seng
Head, Strategy
Wong Wai Seng joined Khazanah in August 2011. He is responsible for overall corporate strategy, strategic asset allocation and strategic planning to meet Khazanah’s long-term mandate and sustainability goals.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Management (Technology), majoring in Finance from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Masters in Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management as a Fulbright scholar and Master of Science in Management as a Sloan Fellow from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. Wai Seng is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (“ACMA”).
Shahrizal Mohd Suffian

Shahrizal Mohd Suffian joined Khazanah in July 2024. With over 29 years of experience in leadership roles within the consulting and corporate sectors, Shahrizal has a distinguished track record in Human Resources and Organisational Development interventions, as well as mergers and acquisitions. His extensive work on public sector projects spans Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand, where he has spearheaded talent management initiatives and leadership development programmes.
Before joining Khazanah, he was a Partner at Deloitte Southeast Asia, focusing on human resources transformation and strategic talent management. He has also held senior positions at Korn Ferry in Indonesia and Malaysia, Hay Group Malaysia, PETRONAS, IBM, and several leading Malaysian banks.
Shahrizal holds two Bachelor of Administration degrees, one in Marketing from the University of Texas and one in Finance from the University of Oklahoma.
Nicholas Khaw

Nicholas Khaw joined Khazanah in April 2011 from the Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department, where he started his career as a macroeconomist.
Currently, he is a Trustee at Khazanah Research Institute and is a monthly contributor to The Edge Malaysia’s Forum column.
He holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from Harvard Kennedy School and completed his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Harvard College, United States. He is currently a part-time PhD student in Political Economy Research at King’s College London.
Suhana Dewi Selamat

Suhana Dewi Selamat joined Khazanah in November 2012 and was appointed Chief Risk Officer on 1 February 2017. She has over 25 years of experience in legal, regulatory, compliance and risk management roles in local firms and in multinational companies, including 8 years as a Trustee of WWF Malaysia. She read law at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences.
Dato’ Shahira Ahmed Bazari

Dato’ Shahira Ahmed Bazari rejoined Khazanah in July 2024, following her tenure as the founding Managing Director of Yayasan Hasanah from 2015 to 2024. Previously, she was with Khazanah from 2006 to 2015, where her last role was as Director in the Managing Director’s Office, overseeing Strategic Communications and Corporate Responsibility.
Dato’ Shahira brings over 25 years of expertise as a strategic advisor in sustainability and ESG, venture philanthropy, social financing, stakeholder engagement, public-private partnerships, and strategic communications. She holds trustee and board positions in various Malaysian organisations and contributes to global philanthropic networks and national councils.
Dato’ Shahira holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from the International Islamic University Malaysia and a Master of Arts in Public Communication from American University, Washington D.C.
